Expectations for Osini’s and Janmi’s Support Workers
· General Tidying Up: Assist the girls with tidying up around the house. This provides an opportunity for them to get involved with household chores.
· School Pick-Ups: On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, pick up the girls from their schools and bring them home.
· School Pick-Up Parking: Park the car for pick-ups and drop-offs at school. Do not use the drive-through pick-up.
· Late Pick-Up Procedure: If you are late picking up the girls, please call the school and ask them to keep the younger one in the office until you arrive.
· Lunch for Osini: Ensure Osini is provided with a proper lunch (not just a sandwich or snack) and give her a bath or shower before the end of the shift.
· Homework Assistance: Support Osini with any homework she may have.
· Screen Time Limit: Encourage limited screen time. Suggest outdoor activities, such as walking to the park.
· Clothes Organization: Help the girls organize their clothes and ensure they are put away in their proper places.
· Laundry Assistance: Bring down the dirty laundry into the basket with their help.
· Dishwashing: Wash dishes with the girls, including their lunch boxes.
· Driving Restrictions: Do not drive the girls unless otherwise specified.
· McDonald's: Do not buy McDonald's every time the girls ask. McDonald's is used as a reward, so it should not be an everyday meal. Any purchase needs approval from their dad.
· Discipline: Be firm with the girls but avoid being too pushy.
· Reward Chart: Use the reward chart on the wall for the younger one to encourage positive behavior.
· Janmi’s Hair Care: Encourage Janmi to wash her hair, but do not push too hard. You can ask, "Can I wash your hair today?".
· Notes: Complete notes at the end of every shift. Remember, these are legal documents, so be clear and concise.
· Leave from shift: Give us as much time as possible if you are unable to do the shift, so family will not be under pressure to find someone who is familiar with the girls.
· Wednesday TAFE Schedule: On Wednesdays, Janmi will be at TAFE, so she does not require pick-up after school. Her father will pick her up from TAFE.
